Day 1 : Arrival in Guwahati

Upon arrival in Guwahati, you'll settle into your accommodations and prepare for an enchanting evening. As the sun sets, embark on a serene boat cruise along the mighty Brahmaputra River. Enjoy the tranquil waters and picturesque views, providing a perfect start to your journey in Assam.

 

Day 2 : Guwahati to Shillong

After breakfast, depart for Shillong, often referred to as the "Scotland of the East." On the way, stop at the breathtaking Umium Lake, where you can take in the stunning scenery and perhaps capture some memorable photographs. Upon reaching Shillong, explore the city’s local attractions, starting with the Don Bosco Museum, which offers a fascinating insight into the region's culture and heritage. Then, visit Wards Lake, a beautiful man-made lake surrounded by lush gardens, followed by a stroll through Hady Hyderi Park. Conclude the day with a visit to the serene Cathedral Church.

Day 3 : Shillong to Cherrapunji

Begin your day with a visit to Shillong Peak, the highest point in the city, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Next, marvel at the cascading waters of Elephant Falls. From there, journey to Cherrapunji, known for its heavy rainfall and stunning natural attractions. Explore the unique Garden of Caves and the majestic Nohkalikkai Falls, one of the tallest plunge waterfalls in India. Delve into the mysterious depths of Mawsmai Caves and Arwa Caves, experiencing the underground wonders that make this area so unique.

 

Day 4 : Cherrapunji to Mawlynnong and Dawki

Leave Cherrapunji behind and head towards Mawlynnong, acclaimed as the cleanest village in Asia. Wander through its tidy lanes and admire the Living Root Bridges, a remarkable example of bioengineering. Continue your journey to Dawki, a charming town on the India-Bangladesh border. The crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River in Dawki offer a surreal boating experience. Overnight, stay in Dawki to fully immerse yourself in its serene environment.

Day 5 : Dawki to Shillong via Krang Suri Waterfalls and Laitlum Canyons

In the morning, visit the picturesque Krang Suri Waterfalls, where you can revel in the beauty of cascading waters and possibly take a refreshing dip. Explore the fascinating monoliths scattered around the area before heading towards the stunning Laitlum Canyons. The canyons offer breathtaking views and an opportunity for some light trekking. In the late afternoon, return to Shillong for an overnight stay.

 

Day 6 : Shillong to Guwahati

After breakfast, travel back to Guwahati. Upon arrival, embark on a local sightseeing tour, starting with the revered Kamakhya Devi Temple, a significant pilgrimage site. Then, visit the Umananda Temple, located on Peacock Island in the middle of the Brahmaputra River. Conclude your exploration with a visit to the Brahmaputra Heritage Centre, which showcases the cultural richness of the region.

 

Day 7 : Departure

As your memorable tour comes to an end, check out from your hotel and proceed to the airport or railway station for your onward journey. Take with you the cherished memories of the beautiful landscapes, cultural experiences, and the warm hospitality you experienced throughout your trip
